Wavestone Foundation call for projects to support child health

Application deadline: 16/09/25

The Wavestone Foundation is relaunching its call for projects to help underprivileged children. This year’s call for projects is aimed at nonprofit organizations seeking financial support to develop projects that promote child health.

Over 250 projects for disadvantaged children supported since its creation in 2009.

The Wavestone Corporate Foundation supports projects aimed at helping disadvantaged children, particularly those living in poverty or extreme deprivation, both in France and internationally. It funds the creation and development of programs to combat all forms of poverty and supports actions in prevention, education, and health.

Each year, it also selects a limited number of associations to support with the implementation of multi-year action programs for disadvantaged children.

The Foundation may also provide funding for emergency relief missions, as it did recently in response to Cyclone Chido in Mayotte in December 2024. Please note that emergency projects are not eligible under this call.

A new call for projects focusing on child health

According to the latest UNICEF data, in 2023, child mortality remained alarming: 4.8 million children worldwide died before the age of five.
In addition, 21 million children received no vaccinations or were only partially vaccinated. Pediatric HIV also remains a major concern: 2.6 million children and adolescents currently live with HIV, and only 57% of children aged 0 to 14 receive antiretroviral treatment.

This situation continues to deteriorate due to the resurgence of conflicts, the global food and nutrition crisis, and the growing impacts of climate change—particularly in the most fragile countries.

The Foundation has therefore decided to focus its 2025/2026 campaign on supporting development projects and programs aimed at sustainably improving children’s health and well-being.

These projects may include a range of initiatives, such as:

  • Strengthening primary healthcare services, including prenatal and maternal care;
  • Developing local health systems and training healthcare workers;
  • Increasing vaccination coverage;
  • Improving access to treatment for children living with HIV;
  • Promoting prevention through awareness and education, particularly around HIV-related risks;
  • Supporting access to appropriate care for children with disabilities.

How to apply?
Associations wishing to submit a project have until midnight on 16 September 2025 to apply via the Foundation’s application platform (available in French and English), accessible through its website.

What funding and for how long?
Projects may receive funding for 1 to 3 years, up to €10,000 per year.

Eligibility requirements:
Associations are strongly advised to ensure their projects align with the Foundation’s principles and activities, as outlined on its website. For this call for projects, please note:

Associations may submit projects under the following two categories :

Classic projects : development or support initiatives
Projects aimed at launching or implementing development or support initiatives for disadvantaged children. The Foundation places strong emphasis on the sustainability and long-term impact of the proposed initiatives, and the empowerment of beneficiaries.

Special projects : potentially multi-year action programs
A special budget is allocated each year to a limited number of associations requiring funding for recurring activities (e.g., ongoing care and follow-up for children) and related operational costs. These projects are reviewed by a dedicated pre-selection committee.

Applications will be reviewed by pre-selection committees made up of Wavestone employees, meeting between October 2025 and early 2026. The list of selected projects, as approved by the Board of Directors, will be announced no later than March 2026.
